Planned tasks<\/h1>\n

A planned task<\/strong> automatically executes an agent's instruction according to a
\ncalendar. No one needs to be in front of the screen.<\/p>\n

\n

What is it for?<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Daily monitoring of defined sources.<\/li>\n
  • A weekly summary of the exchanges within a space.<\/li>\n
  • A periodic check \u2014 documents coming due, inconsistent data.<\/li>\n
  • A monthly report built from a database.<\/li>\n
  • Maintaining a corpus: identifying what has not been updated since
    \n a long time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Create a task \u2014 administrator<\/em><\/h2>\n

    Settings \u2192 Scheduled Tasks<\/code>.<\/p>\n

    A task involves:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • A name<\/strong> ;<\/li>\n
    • a order<\/strong> \u2014 exactly what one would write to an agent, but without anyone
      \n to clarify later; ;<\/li>\n
    • THE SKILLS<\/strong> that the task can use; ;<\/li>\n
    • A calendar<\/strong>, expressed in cron format; ;<\/li>\n
    • A switch<\/strong> activation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A maximum number of simultaneously active tasks protects the instance of a
      \noverload.<\/p>\n

      The calendar<\/h2>\n

      The cron format describes a recurrence in five fields: minute, hour, day of the week.
      \nmonth, month, day of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

      Times are interpreted in Universal Time (UTC). Depending on the season, a
      \nA one or two hour difference applies compared to Swiss local time.

      Write a good instruction<\/h2>\n

      A scheduled task is executed without anyone to clarify the ambiguity<\/strong>. She
      \nrequires more precision than an interactive request.<\/p>\n

      Summarize the week.\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
      Correct :<\/strong><\/p>\n
      Review the conversations in this space from the past seven days. Produce a structured note in three parts: 1. Most frequently asked questions 2. Topics for which no satisfactory answer was found 3. Most frequently cited documents. If no conversation took place, answer exactly: NO ACTIVITY. Save the note as a dated file.\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
      Three rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Plan for the empty case.<\/strong> Without explicit instructions, an agent confronted with
        \n  The absence of data often leads to inventing something.<\/li>\n
      • Specify the destination of the result.<\/strong> File, note, send: a task which
        \n  The result has no destination and is therefore useless.<\/li>\n
      • Define the perimeter.<\/strong> \u00abThe last seven days,\u00bb \u00abthe documents of the

        Monitoring of executions<\/h2>\n
        Each task retains a historical<\/strong> date, duration, status and result of

        • verify that a task is actually working \u2014 a silent task may
          \n  have been failing for weeks; ;<\/li>\n
        • understanding failure; ;<\/li>\n
        • adjust the instruction based on what is actually produced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          Make it a habit to check the history after the first few executions.<\/strong>
          \nA task that is set up but never checked is a task whose status is unknown.<\/p>\n

          Points to consider<\/h2>\n
          A task consumes resources each time it is executed.<\/strong> An hourly task at
          \nAn external supplier generates a continuous cost, including when it cannot find
          \nNothing.<\/p>\n
          A task operates with the skills that are given to it.<\/strong> She complies without
          \nSupervision: activate only what is strictly necessary, and prioritize skills
          \nthose that produce rather than those that send.<\/p>\n
          Disable what is no longer needed.<\/strong> A forgotten task continues to run, from
          \nto consume and produce results that nobody reads.<\/p>\n
          Check after making a change.<\/strong> A change in model, skills or
          \nprompt can change the behavior of a task that was
