Agent workflows<\/h1>\n

A flow<\/strong> is a sequence of steps defined in advance, constructed visually,
\nand always executed in the same order. Where an agent decides what to do,
\na flow does what was intended.<\/p>\n

Take a stream<\/strong> when the procedure is stable and the result must be
\nconstant: a daily extraction, a standardized processing, a call
\nAPI followed by formatting.<\/p>\n

Take an agent<\/strong> when the approach depends on what one finds along the way.<\/p>\n

The interface is a sequence of blocks. Each block receives what the previous one did.
\nproduced and transmits its own result to the next person, via variables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The available blocks<\/h3>\n

Startup.<\/strong> Declares the input variables of the stream \u2014 what is provided to it at
\nlaunch.<\/p>\n

API call.<\/strong> Sends an HTTP request: URL, method, headers, body of
\nquery. The response is stored in a variable. An option allows you to return
\nthe answer directly to the user, without going through the model \u2014
\nuseful when the result is already usable as is.<\/p>\n

Instructions for the model.<\/strong> Gives the model an instruction, applied to the
\nAvailable variables: summarize, extract, reformat, classify. The result is
\nstored in a variable.<\/p>\n

Web extraction.<\/strong> Retrieves the content of a URL and stores it in a variable.<\/p>\n

The blocks are chained together as many times as necessary.<\/p>\n

An example<\/h2>\n

Objective :<\/strong> Each morning, check the new publications from a source
\nregulatory and produce an internal memo.<\/p>\n

    This flow, associated with a planned task<\/a>, executes
    \nevery morning without intervention.<\/p>\n

    Use a stream<\/h2>\n

    A published feed becomes a skill<\/strong> It is therefore usable by agents.
    \ncallable:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • from a conversation, by entrusting the task to the agent; ;<\/li>\n
    • from a scheduled task; ;<\/li>\n
    • within another sequence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Best practices<\/h2>\n

      Test block by block.<\/strong> A flow is built by adding one step at a time and
      \nby checking its output, rather than writing the whole thing before the first attempt.<\/p>\n

      Name your variables explicitly.<\/strong> list_of_unpaid_invoices<\/code> better than
      \nresult2<\/code> \u2014 the readability of the feed depends on it, and you will come back to that in six
      \nmonth.<\/p>\n

      Plan for the empty case.<\/strong> What should happen if the API returns nothing, if the
      \nThe page is inaccessible if there are no new features? An explicit instruction
      \nThis case avoids absurd outcomes.<\/p>\n

      Constrain the format of the model's outputs.<\/strong> \u00ab"Respond only with a
      \n"Bulleted list, without introduction" produces a result usable by the next step
      \nnext; a vague instruction produces a text that needs reprocessing.<\/p>\n

      Beware of secrets.<\/strong> An API call may require a key. Handle these
      \nstream with the same caution as a production script, and limit who can access them
