Skills library<\/h1>\n

The library contains instruction sheets<\/strong> \u2014 steps to follow
\nwritten in natural language, which an agent loads at the moment they are needed.<\/p>\n

To be distinguished from SKILLS<\/a>, which are tools that execute
\ncode. A library card does nothing by itself: it explain
\nhow to<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

The problem it solves<\/h2>\n

A generic agent doesn't know your procedures. Everything can be written in the
\nprompt system, but this one is sent with each message: ten procedures
\ndetailed information saturates the context, even when none of it is useful.<\/p>\n

The library reverses the mechanism:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • the agent is constantly aware of the title and description<\/strong> of each sheet
    \n active \u2014 a few lines; ;<\/li>\n
  • When a record matches the request, he loads it full content<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Result: a lot of know-how available, little context consumed.<\/p>\n

    How does it look?<\/h2>\n

    A record is a structured document that contains:<\/p>\n

    • A name<\/strong> ;<\/li>\n
    • a description<\/strong> \u2014 it is she who determines when the agent charges her, therefore

      The catalogue provided.<\/strong> A set of fact sheets included with the application,
      \ncovering general needs: production of office documents, analysis and
      \nresearch, content creation, file organization, preparation of
      \nmedia. This catalogue is read-only.<\/p>\n

      Your own index cards.<\/strong> An administrator adds as many as necessary to
      \nyour internal procedures. A form bearing the same name as a form provided the
      \nreplaces.<\/p>\n

        Recommendation :<\/strong> Activate only the entries that are truly useful. A library
        \nwith fifteen active records, three of which are used, forcing the agent to decide between
        \ncompeting descriptions.<\/p>\n

        Writing a good fact sheet<\/h2>\n

        The description is the most important part.<\/strong> It is on her alone that
        \nThe agent decides to load the record.<\/p>\n

        • Low: "Help with documents."\u00ab<\/li>\n
        • Good: "Write a meeting report according to the internal template:"
          \n Participants, decisions, actions with responsible party and deadline. To be used immediately.

          What the library does not do<\/h2>\n

          • She does nothing<\/strong>. A guide explaining how to query a database
            \n assumes that the SQL skill is enabled.<\/li>\n
          • She does not guarantee<\/strong> that the agent will follow the procedure to the letter. She makes
            \n That's much more likely, but not certain.<\/li>\n
          • She does not replace the system prompt<\/strong>, which remains the right place for this
            \n which applies to all messages in a
