Memoirs<\/h1>\n

A memory<\/strong> is a short fact that the assistant remembers about you and
\nreuses it in her replies. Without it, every conversation starts from scratch.<\/p>\n

\n

Function can be disabled at the instance level. If Settings \u2192 Personalization<\/code>
\nIt doesn't offer anything; an administrator has disabled it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The limits are intentionally low. Memory is injected into each
\nconversation: accumulating hundreds of them would saturate the context and degrade
\nthe answers instead of improving them. The constraint forces us to keep only
\nThe essentials.<\/p>\n

For each message, at most five global memories and five memories of
\nspace<\/strong> The most relevant ones are added to the context.<\/p>\n

\n

How a memory is born<\/h2>\n

You create it<\/h3>\n

Open the memories panel from the conversation and add a fact, in
\nchoosing its scope. It's the most direct and controlled method.<\/p>\n

The assistant suggests it<\/h3>\n

If automatic extraction is enabled, a background process examines
\nperiodically reviews recent conversations and draws candidate facts from them.<\/p>\n

The process takes place in two stages:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Observation<\/strong> \u2014 to identify, in the exchanges, the factual elements and
    \n lasting information concerning you. Specific comments, questions, and content
    \n documents are not retained.<\/li>\n
  2. Filtering<\/strong> \u2014 classify each candidate by scope, eliminate duplicates,
    \n merge what overlaps, and keep only what remains useful in the
    \n duration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What remains is recorded as memory. Each conversation is examined.
    \nonly once.<\/p>\n

    \n

    What becomes a memory \u2014 and what does not<\/h2>\n

    Selected:<\/strong> role and profession, format and language preferences, tools and
    \nworking methods, sustainable context of a project.<\/p>\n

    Not selected:<\/strong> the content of your documents (that's the role of indexing), the
    \nquestions asked, information valid for a given day, answers from
    \nthe assistant.<\/p>\n

    View, edit, delete<\/h2>\n

    The memory panel lists everything that is retained, by staff. You can:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • to modify<\/strong> the text of a memoir; ;<\/li>\n
    • DELETE<\/strong> a memory \u2014 the effect is immediate on the following conversation; ;<\/li>\n
    • delete all<\/strong> to start from scratch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Your memories belong to you.<\/strong> They are not visible to others
      \nusers, nor in their conversations, including within a space
      \nsharing.<\/p>\n

      \n

      Settings \u2014 administrator<\/em><\/h2>\n

      Settings \u2192 Personalization<\/code>, two independent switches:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Memory activated<\/strong> \u2014 without it, no memory is stored or injected, and
        \n The panel disappears from the interface.<\/li>\n
      • Automatic extraction<\/strong> \u2014 only has an effect if the first one is active. The
        \n Disabling it doesn't erase anything: existing memories remain, but no
        \n The new one is not offered automatically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Recommendation.<\/strong> In a sensitive context, activate memory and let
        \nAutomatic extraction disabled<\/strong> : users retain the benefit of
        \npersonalization, with complete control over what is selected.<\/p>\n

        \n

        Memories or Second Brain?<\/h2>\n
